What team do I register my child for? Please see the Age & Weight Limits Page to determine the best fit for your child based on age and size. This is strictly a guideline and the kids will be placed on the proper team based on age, size, and experience.
When do the Fall 2025 Games begin? The first game for all ages will be at the end of August TBD.
What is a Jamboree? The GCYFL Jamboree will be held early in August, exact date TBD. This is a day of 2 or 3 "mini" scrimmages each team will play to be rated by the GCYFL officials to create the schedule of games and identify teams in either the National or American Leagues.
What items will my child need to purchase to play? Your child will need a mouth guard, football cleats, practice football pants, a girdle with pads (including knee pads), a water bottle/jug, and an athletic protective cup. We HIGHLY recommend purchasing your own chin strap for the helmet.
What items will my child receive with registration? Conditioning camp shirt and shorts (spirit gear), practice jersey, (2) Game Day Jerseys, and (1) Game Day Pants - The following items are checked out and must be returned - Shoulder Pads, Helmet, and Guardian Cap.
When is age determined for the upcoming season? Age is determined for the 2025 season based on the child's age on July 31, 2025.
How much does it cost to play football for the season? Registration is $475 for your first child. There is a $50 sibling discount. This fee includes not only all equipment, camp gear, and game gear but also fields, referees, and medics at every game. Note, going forward a USA Football Membership ($35) is required in order to register with our organization.
Can I wear my helmet? Yes, as long as it meets the correct safety guidelines and has not reached its expiration date. If there is a question, please bring it to the equipment fitting for us to evaluate. Helmets must be painted in the proper Bulldog color, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Can I bring my pets to practice or games? No pets allowed. No Exceptions.
Can I ride my bike, dirt bike or ebike, anywhere on school property? You can in the parking lot. Nowhere else, no exceptions. This can and will result in disciplinary actions.
What conference do we play in? We are a member of the Gold Coast Youth Football League (GCYFL), widely considered one of the country's most well-organized and best youth football conferences.
When are MANDATORY weigh-ins for the fall season? The MANDATORY weigh-in date is August 2, 2025.
What are the requirements for practice time? The conference rules mandate that a child conditions for at least 10 hours before putting on full gear. During the first 10 hours, players can wear helmets at the chapter's discretion. A child must wear full gear for an additional 10 hours before having full contact with another player. However, contact with bags is permitted during this time. These rules are in place to protect your children and their teammates who line up next to them.
Can we take a family vacation or miss days after camp begins on July 14, 2025? Tackle football is a team sport and a big commitment. We highly encourage your child to attend all practices during conditioning camp in July and August. We want your child to take advantage of all the practices to maximize their potential and keep them And their teammates safe and prepared to play.
Do I need to provide a birth certificate? Yes, if your child is new to the GCYFL, he or she will need to give an official birth certificate (original and not a photocopy). The birth certificate will be returned to you after the GCYFL officials have certified your child's age and weight.
Does my child need to have a physical to play? To play, your child must submit a signed and stamped GCYFL physical form. This form can be found under "Forms" above on our site. If you show up to the first practice without the proper forms stamped as required they may not participate until we receive it. No exceptions.
Does everyone get playtime? Yes, the GCYFL has a mandatory 12-play rule for every player.
What is the refund policy? No refunds.
CHEERLEADING FAQ'S

When does the 2025 Season begin? We will be holding Cheer clinics in April, which are highly recommended for all interested individuals. Our 2025 season will begin on July 14th, including two weeks of intense training. These sessions will be held from Monday to Friday, between 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Following this, regular season practices will be conducted twice weekly from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Stunting squads will have a third day of practice for stunting.

What items will my child receive with registration? When you register your child for our cheerleading program, they will receive a practice shirt, shorts, a practice bow and a complete game day uniform. The uniform includes a shell, skirt, body liner, briefs, cheer shoes, poms, and a bow.
